Post Nine: The Chinese Room

(Or I’m not gonna lie, this one's a doozy).

I tried to keep this one as on track as I could, and I think I mostly succeeded by sticking to trying to have the LLM address some of its own points and pulling it back to those points when it (and I) started to wander off topic. It is one of those conversations where it feels like there are too many directions that are very worth pursuing to possibly feel satisfied with where it goes. . . infinitely splitting tree branches, except they don’t get smaller. . . they just split and split and split and are all the same size in terms of being interesting. . . (I like the branches I took, but man, always regrets I didn’t go over there, or there, or there too). Going to have to come back to some of this in a later post-
