So, this post is highly speculative, which is part of the reason it is also so fun. It is also sort of scary, (which is also why it is fun).
At the end of Friday’s discussion regarding Wave-Particle Duality and quantum computing, I took a moment to ask a question regarding quantum computing that I had been wondering about for a while. If these quantum computers, that are supposed to be coming eventually, can really do SO many calculations at once, if they are successfully implemented at the absolute highest level of effectiveness, how would this affect industries that rely on probabilities like markets and even gambling. What about other sorts of real world predictions?
